Are you an author who has created a game in Twine and wants to share it with the world? We’re collecting a big ball of twine games. So please send us what you’ve got!
We don’t edit or curate submissions, but we do have a few guidelines for what we’re looking for. If a submission doesn’t fit our guidelines, we will try to send a polite email thanking/declining your submission. If something sneaks past us and we find out it doesn’t fit at some point after posting (we know how tangled Twine games can be!) we may remove it. If we do so, again we’ll try to notify you…. but email is a tricky beast, so we can’t guarantee you’ll get our response to your submission.
If you think your game does fit the guidelines, and you haven’t seen it added or heard back from us, feel free to get in touch and see if something slipped through the cracks.
GUIDELINES
- Complete Story – We aren’t including “works in progress” so get back to us when you have a complete game/story.
- Rated PG-13 – We’re not saying we don’t like a good romance novel now and then, but we’re trying to showcase games aimed at a wide audience. (Note: if you think your game might be right on the edge of this, include a note with your submission about what strong language or violence or whatever your game contains that worries you. We’re more likely to include something if you warn us – and we can warn our audience.)
- No Downloads Required – Twine games are usually contained within one html file, though some people do get more creative than that. If your game requires some sort of download, we won’t include it in our collection. We want web-playable, no plugins required games.
- Made in Twine or Twee – We might make an exception if you have a game that is similar to what Twine or Twee creates…. but let us know if you hand-coded this thing from scratch on a text editor using old-school HTML. (Or used some other program.)
